Well, its currently storming out, and we had just lost power for about 15minutes, which makes it quite difficult to work, so i figured I would do a bit of writing just in case it goes out again. While balancing school and trying to get work done, I was semi productive. Jehan and I have been discussing the wedding, and I finished my first snood. The first one has pearls in it to give it a bit of detail, and I just prefer them with the added beads. I am going to start another one soon, but this one I will make plan so that I will have one of each for demo's. Once I get that accomplished, I believe I will start to fix some of my older garb to make it more appropriate (hand sewing is not my specialty, unfortunately).
For some reason, Jehan and I have a problem with keeping cording around...we are constantly loosing it. I am on a mission to make a few pieces for extra for our garb. I am almost done with my first piece for his leather doublet. I will also re-make a blue cord for his poet shirt, and make a few green/blue and gold for his green/blue and gold doublet. I will more then likely make a few black ones for me new red bodice and green overdress, but for right now his are my top priority for Pennsic. In the 2 1/2 years that we have been dating, and I have been involved in the SCA, I have not been to Pennsic. Unfortunately, school has to be my top priority, and with graduating the 2nd week of Pennsic, it is just not feasable for me to go this year, although the goal is to get him there. Next year, it will not only be my graduation present to myself, but it will also be our second honeymoon (we are planning on spending a few days in Massa. for our honeymoon, but Pennsic is just our extension of it).
I hope everyone is having as a productive time as I am, and are having fun getting ready for Pennsic...If anyone one knows of any fun going on in AEthelmarc/ East Kingdom area during Pennsic, please let me know...gotta find something to do when I'm alone for 2 weeks!
Till Later,
~Antoinette
